Online Help and General FAQ's
The order forms of this site are designed to be simple to use and trouble free. However, certain circumstances may prevent the smooth transition from paper to electronic forms. The following help topics may help you to solve those problems. If you do not see a solution to your problem, please contact us
- After I type in the fields, the text doesn't show up.
- I can't see the form at all.
- The form is not clear on the screen.

- Information appears in the fields before I type in them.
"After I type in the fields, the text doesn't show up."
There could be several problems here. First check and see what version of Acrobat you are using. The order forms were created and designed for use with Acrobat version 4.0. You can locate the version by opening the Acrobat program and selecting the Help » About Adobe Acrobat... from the file menus. If the version is less than 4.0, you will need to upgrade. The Adobe Acrobat is free from the Adobe web site.
Also, the fields were designed to be a certain width and height. Try changing the size of your system fonts in the Display Properties. You can get there by right clicking your mouse on an empty section of your computer's desktop, and selecting Appearance.
Another possible problem is accidentally deleting the fields. After information is typed into the field and the user goes on, it is possible to accidentally reselect the previous field and delete the record. Try and retype the information. If the problem still exists, try restarting your Acrobat program, browser or operating system. If you require further help, please contact us.

This could be a problem between your Internet Browser and the Acrobat Reader plug-in. Make sure you have the Acrobat 4.0 Reader installed and registered as a plug-in in your browser. *For advanced help, see bottom paragraph.
The simplest solution may be just to reinstall the Acrobat program. If you have installed an Internet browser after installing the Acrobat program, the browser probably does not recognize the application extension for the Acrobat format.

For Netscape users, go to Edit » Preferences... which
will bring up certain settings for the Netscape Internet browser. Select Applications and look for anything that says
Acrobat. If there is nothing there, the plug-in is not installed and you will not be
able to see the "pdf" through your browser. Reinstall your browser after
installing the Acrobat program.
"The forms are not clear on the screen."
Occasionally, the "pdf" forms may appear blocky or unclear on the
screen. A possible answer is that your machine does not have the exact font the form
was designed with. In this case, the program or your operating system substitutes
another font to take it's place. The process may leave the text blocky. In
many cases, the printed version of the form looks much clearer than your computer.
If you print the form, and it's still unclear, contact us
and we may be able to redesign the form for better use.

"When I hit the submit or reset button, nothing happens."
The first step to solving this problem is to ask a few questions.
1 - Has the "sendmail" plug-in been downloaded
and installed?
2 - Do you have the 4.0 version of Acrobat Reader?
3 - Do you have an email program on your computer?
4 - Do you have a POP email account to use?
5 - After I click the submit button, a profile message pops up.
If you answered NO to any or all of these questions, your solution is probably a few steps away.
Solution 1 - If you haven't downloaded the sendmail plug-in, please do so. After downloading, open the file and the plug-in will be installed automatically into the Acrobat 4.0 plug-ins directory. Close all Browsers and applications relating to this process and restart. For testing purposes, go to Help » About Plugins in the Acrobat program. If you don't see the sendmail plug-in, contact us. Be sure to include in the detailed message field what steps you've taken.
Solution 2 - If you don't have the latest version of the Acrobat Reader, follow this link and download it free from the Adobe web site. After downloading and installing, open the Acrobat program and go to Help » About Acrobat. This should tell you whether you have the 4.0 version.
Solution 3 - You will need an email program on your computer in order to send the completed form. Internet email, such as Hotmail and Yahoo mail won't work! If you don't have anything, Eudora has a free email program you can download. See solution4 to setup an email program with a POP email account.
Solution 4 - If you are looking at this web page, you probably have an Internet Service Provider, and probably a POP email account. If you are using AOL, Compuserve or other comparable online service, it won't work. If you do have something like AOL and will be filling out forms often, we can offer you a POP email account to use, or you may want to try solution3. For further technical support, please contact us.
Solution 5 - When you click the send button for the first time, Acrobat will ask you for an email profile. If you don't see anything, your email is not setup properly. Acrobat needs to "talk" to your email program and send the form as an attachment through your email program. To set up and use a profile see Solution 3 &4.

Some of the fields may be preformatted with calculations. If you've just filled out a form, and you see the information from the previous form, click the reset button at the bottom of the page. If the problem still exists, contact us.
