RTK Valve & Actuator Assembies

RTK valve and actuator assemblies are ready-to-use control packages that include a control valve (which controls or stops flow) and an actuator (which moves the valve stem or shaft). These assemblies also include a positioner, mounting components, and common accessories such as air sets, limit switches, or solenoid valves.

Providing the valve and actuator as a complete, designed package ensures proper fit, correct movement, and accurate response, reducing the need for field adjustments and helping the unit operate correctly immediately after installation.

Integrated Design Benefits

The benefits of using an integrated valve and actuator assembly center on performance, reliability, and project efficiency. Factory sizing and pairing help ensure the actuator provides sufficient thrust or torque across the full operating range, improving response and reducing the risk of sticking, slow movement, or an inability to shut off under higher differential pressure.

Installation and Operational Advantages

Pre-assembled linkages, calibrated travel limits, and tuned positioners shorten installation and commissioning time, helping reduce start-up labor and avoid troubleshooting caused by mismatched components. In addition, matched valve trims and actuator dynamics can help reduce noise, cavitation, and wear in demanding throttling applications.

RTK REact Electric Actuators

RTK REact electric actuators are motor-driven actuation devices designed to operate control and shut-off valves in industrial systems. Built around brushless DC motor technology with multiple speed settings, these actuators convert electrical control signals into precise linear motion to position the valve stem smoothly and reliably. Standard features include separate force and limit switches for both directions, a valve position indicator, manual hand wheel for local override, and a compact design with IP65 environmental protection.

Performance and Application Benefits

Using REact electric actuators improves stability, control precision, and repeatability compared with manual or less integrated solutions. The stepped control and configurable speeds help tailor actuator response to the process requirements, while modular options — including digital positioners, bus communication modules, and integrated controllers — support advanced diagnostics and automation flexibility.

Durability and Maintenance Advantages

Designed for industrial environments, REact actuators offer robust enclosure protection and straightforward electrical connections, reducing installation complexity. The inclusion of manual override capability and optional diagnostic accessories simplifies commissioning and maintenance while helping minimize unplanned downtime.

RTK Valves and Actuators

RTK valves and actuators are precision flow-control components used to regulate liquids, gases, and steam in industrial process systems. RTK is commonly associated with control valves—often globe and three-way designs—paired with pneumatic or electric actuators that convert a control signal into smooth, repeatable valve movement.

In a typical control loop, a PLC or DCS sends a 4–20 mA or digital command to a positioner, which directs the actuator to adjust the valve plug in order to maintain a setpoint such as flow, pressure, temperature, or level.

Control Stability and Efficiency Benefits

Key benefits include improved stability, efficiency, and equipment protection. Accurate throttling reduces overshoot and “hunting,” improving product consistency and making downstream equipment easier to operate.

Better control also reduces energy waste by avoiding over-heating, over-pressurizing, and unnecessary pumping, which lowers operating costs and, in thermal systems, emissions.

Durability, Safety, and Maintenance Advantages

With engineered trims and appropriate materials, RTK valves can be selected for demanding services such as high pressure drops, hot water, or steam applications, helping to limit noise, cavitation, and vibration. Modular actuator and positioner options support easier maintenance and, in modern systems, diagnostics that identify wear early and help reduce unplanned downtime.

Tight shutoff capability and fail-safe spring-return options also support compliance with safety codes and help protect critical processes.
